Our experience has made it clear to us that employees under value their employer-sponsored pensions and benefits arrangements and lack the engagement required to make the right decisions.

We aim to ensure that being a member of a Group Pension Scheme provided by Sovereign is very different to the norm. We aim to engage with every employee using a variety of communication formats which include regular workshops, seminars etc to ensure that they are equipped to make the right decisions for the long term. In most cases, Sovereign will conduct a one to one meeting but in every case, if requested, we will provide individual advice on the benefits of joining a scheme.

We are able to offer advice on previous and paid up pensions, underlying fund choices and help guide the member through the duration of the scheme. This would be via a separate engagement at the employers discretion.
We will consider a member's 'attitude to risk' i.e. balance the return against the volatility (fluctuations) of a fund, we will use software to model various scenarios to help agree the level of contributions required and we will offer individual tailored advice on other non-pensions financial planning. We will also keep in touch over the term of the contract.
